Excellent thread!

Here are a couple more suggestions for you:
Still Ain't Satisfied by Bonnie Lockhart. Very strong, moving song about the token measures our government doles out towards women's issues.
Give Your Hands to Struggle by Bernice Johnson Reagon, a civil rights anthem inspired by activist Septima Clark.
We Don't Need the Men by Malvina Reynolds. I especially like the line "We don't need to have them 'round, except for now and then. They can come to see us when we need to move the piano..."
Rambling Woman by Hazel Dickens. A song about a level-headed woman making decisions in her life. Inspiring!
Ballad of the Welfare Mother. absolutely chilling.
Regarding domestic violence, there are many survivors who have shared their experiences through creativity of poem and song. One of my favorites is Take Back the Night.

I've been enjoying everyone's submissions and I hope this continues!!
