But I think there might be a mistake in the DT..."We can make it but we better stop tryin'"-- should that be "start tryin'"? I can't get a clear auditory memory, but it does make more sense that way. Now, while we're on the subject, let me ask this question again: does anyone know the identity of "Uncle Jack"? I heard Tom perform it at the Main Point near Philadelphia in 1971, and I believe he said it was about an artist who had been blacklisted during the McCarthy era. His nephew had been living with him, but the authorities took the boy away because of the uncle's "unsavory" character. I'd love to know more of the story.
