Hi everyone. I do drop in now and again to post the odd message, but since being put on new medication I'm not the insomniac I used to be, so don't sit up all night typing messages into the CAT. However, I have a quick scroll through the messages once a week and now that I have one of these monthly connections, I'll be able to afford to do it more often.

Also, regular readers to my endless screed may remember that I was given the odd task in the Maritime Festival in Plymouth, like organising an old time music hall workshop, songwriting comp and a folk night. You can see how it all went on our Hyde Folk club website, details below!!!!!! I have spent the last few weeks chained to my computer. Washingis to ear level, my husband was driven to tidy the kids room and my elder children have all but left home, and are living out of cardboard boxes...as you all probably know, once youare given three jobs, they grow into four, then five. But I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Greenhorns like me could do with a chat with other festival organisers... maybe i'll start a thread...

Hi Roger. As to complete strangers liking our music. I suppose that's just about believable, but to get a folkie to part with $10, that's in the realms of the outer limits. what has put me off backing bands in the past has been the incredibly large and complex rule page you are directed to. We're looking for someone with a strong stomach and a legal mind here.

Hello KatLaughing. Thanks a million. it just all seems a bit strange at the moment. you have to remember I've been playing in social clubs for the last twenty years. This is the first time I've ranged from my 'comfort zone' for as long as I can remember.

Love to all. At the moment I'm plugging our folk club site, we're averageing 40 -50 people at the club a week, with over 20 PERFORMERS... and over 120 people have visited the site already...yikes. We've created a monster.
