Well Dave, part of the problem with the question you ask, is that the reading of some papers is a dead giveaway, while the reading of others is likely to attract scorn from people who think they know better. I have always found that most folkies have a leftward leaning politically, so I guess that they would read the papers appropriate to their political views. I myself am a Telegraph reader, and was once castigated for reading a right wing Tory rag, but I find it contains a good balance of stories, and also realises that football is not the only sport played in the UK. The crossword is good too, and also I know bias when I read it, and treat it as such. Good luck with proving your theory.
