I whirled, delighting in the freefall. It made no difference if I opened my eyes, darkness was everywhere and nowhere. Out of time, out of space. Slowly, then more rapidly, I felt myself breaking apart, in an orderly fashion, each component, each molecule dividing, parting company. Even after so many times, I still felt a slight lurch and a gripping in what a few seconds ago had been my solar plexus. Before the thought of fear had really taken shape, I gracefully and instantly coalesced back into my shape, back aboard the Enterprise. Beaming up was ever so much fun.
