Thank you both! It was a fascinating site, and the Hebrew lyrics were at least half of what I'm after. Does anyone perhaps remember the female singer whose recording of this -- in both Hebrew and in a non-literal but singable English translation -- was played popularly in the US around 1968-ish? I would love to find the particular English words she sang to it, and the literal translations on the web site do not include that one.
