Sorry...I'm an idiot. Delrin is a plastic, harder than steel, and as you actually guessed it is from the planet Delrin. Your best source for buying in "non-mass" quantities is from Jean's Dulcimer Shop in Cosby, TN. They will also sell piano wire in non-mass quantities or were the last I knew. I have to fumble around for the address, but I'll post it as soon as I find it. Also Elderly Instruments may have but I haven't really checked...but I will.
