Thread Name: Lyr Req: It Is a Beauty (Garden Hose Song)
Subject: It Is a Beauty (Garden Hose Song)
I'm looking for lyrics to a song I heard someone sing once or twice several years ago. I have no idea who performed it or what its actual title is, but I can give you bits and pieces of the lyrics:

"Well, there ain't many men who are lucky enough to have one as long as mine.
The thing is as old as I am, and still it is doin' fine...
I met a young lass who needed a hand, and used it for a week....
Though it wasn’t used for days on end, it never began to leak.
(Chorus) Oh, it is a beauty, all the fellas envy my technique,
Oh, it is a beauty, they hate me every time they take a peek.

Now Paddy O'Toole came calling one day, to tell me that he had heard
That mine was bigger than his was, and he didn't believe a word.
So I bet him a buck, and took him outside and laid it in the street.
The laddy could scarcely believe it. 'Twas over a hundred feet"

The punch line is
"And it's the finest length or garden hose they ever sold at Sears.”

If someone would be kind enough to cut and paste the lyrics if they have them, or perhaps guide me to a site where I can find said lyrics I would be quite grateful.

Thank you kindly for your time, I tried doing a forum search, and using several search engines, but without any clear-cut info, it's hard to get decent results.

Thanks Again, I really appreciate it.

Mark.
