We would happily amble between De Barras Folk Club (which is not actually a folk club but superb venue hosting an eclectic range of music from trad Irish to heavy metal) and O'Donnovan's Hotel which was made up of three venues. The front bar had occasional music(country, Irish, cabaret). Behind that is 'The Venue' which is a modern place generally featuring electric bands but also acoustic blues, ragtime and flamenco. Behind that is 'An Teach Beg', a small pub (probably the garage mentioned earlier) which hosted trad sessions and story telling. But also there was Shanley's Piano Bar, Bernie's and the Emmet Hotel which had nightly music.
Superb - and I haven't even mantioned the food yet.
