I have a couple of Telecasters. One is a '52 repo built for me by Tex Rubinowitz with a Charlie Chrisitian pickup up front and a fender in back rewound by Danny Gatton. And I have a black American Standard I bought new in '98 just to take the wear and tear off the Texecaster. If I was collecting guitars instead of rearing children I'd have a Gibson Johnny Smith and a 335.
