My father used to tell a tale of when he was aboard the U.S.S Midway (aircraft carrier) many years ago. They had been sailing in the Mediterranean had anchored off the coast of France. As Dad looked on, a sailor broke through the crowd, waving the camera that he had retrieved from below. He made his way to the edge of the deck and appeared to be about to snap a photo when the young woman suddenly awoke. She saw what was going on and held up her hand in signal for him to stop or wait. Then she obligingly removed the lower half of her swimsuit.
