Thread Name: Lyr/Chords Req: Trouble of the World
Subject: ADD: Soon-A-Will be Done
Well, Alex, I found a copy of the 1915 book, Folk Song of the American Negro, at the library. This was written by John Wesley Work, 1871-1925. It's almost the same as what's in Work Jr.'s 1940 book, but with no musical notation.

SOON-A-WILL BE DONE WITH THE TROUBLES OF THE WORLD

CHORUS
Soon-a-will be done-a-with the troubles of the world,
Troubles of the world,
Troubles of the world,
Soon-a-will be done-a-with the troubles of the world,
Going home to live with God

1. These are my Father's children,
These are my Father's children,
These are my Father's children,
All in-a-one band.
CHORUS

2. No more weeping and a-wailing,
No more weeping and a-wailing,
No more weeping and a-wailing,
All in-a-one band.
CHORUS
