I understand that for certain programmes from the USA, the background music is muted when broadcast in the UK. I know that Star Trek Next Gen is one of these, because I saw an episode in Canada and was disturbed by the amount of dialogue I missed because the music was too loud... When the same episode aired over here 6 months later, I watched it again and was surprised at the lack of music. S So you see it's all your fault!
