Sins, that hat is practically brand new! I've only just got it broken in. It is fianlly getting really comfortable and now you say it is old and worn out. Humph!

Yeah, Spaw, the hat is similar to the yachting caps worn by all the rest of us armchair sailors. My current hat is similar to a Greek fisherman's cap but is made of white cotten duck instead of wool. The brim and band are dark blue. Anything similar would be great! I like the cap Bogart wore in The African Queen also.

And you are right, real sailors wear watch caps or ball caps not those other things. But then, my real sailing days are over... and coming up, I hope!
