Mariner, I am so sorry. I wish you both the best. I know the feeling of being helpless in the face of such news. My brother died two years ago after a 12 year battle. Keep in mind that doctors are the first to admit that they don't know how long an individual can live, that they have to go on statistics.

The good thing is that my brother's last years were fulfilling for him and for all of us. We were all grateful for that extra amount of time.
