4. favorite authors/ type of book? Fantasy(no horror) Science fiction. Fiction set in the middle ages.(I've done all Ellis Peters books) Interesting non-fiction especially new looks at past history like "The Cousins' Wars" or "Guns, Germs, and Steel" by Jared Diamond. A book local to your area would interest me.

5. what books have you really been wanting? I buy them when I see them.

6. what type of music do you like? Old Time, Early Bluegrass, Traditional folk from anywhere (except maybe the far east) performed traditionally, early music. No singer/songwriters.

7. what cds have you really been wanting? The Alan Lomax Collection recordings from the eastern side of the Atlantic Ocean.(I've already got most of Southern Journey and Deep River of song) Yazoo reissues of 78's from the 20's & 30's (except How can I keep from singing?), Document reissues. Carter Family. Something from where you live.

8. What movies (vhs is in the price range) have you been wnting? None, no TV

10. do you collect anything? if so, what? Old hymnals, humming bird knik-knacks, junk.
