BoB:

Whether you run a search or not depends on the time you have, etc. However, as new information is added to the Mudcat every day it continues to build into one increadible database and resource. So, it's likely that your question may have already been addressed, and possibly answered more completely that you will get by submitting a new request. That is what makes the Mudcat so unique.

When searching you should try Super Search first, but it may miss some recent threads, depending upon when it was last re-indexed. It searches the message body and the DT.

If you click on the quick link to the forum search you can do a search of all message titles for key words like your song title.

Last, You may also want to try using the Filter over the last year. The Filter only examines the thread titles, so if someone has changed the title in their response it won't catch it.

If you search using all three you are likely to find all the previous discussion on your topic.
