I'm with those who think towards the future. I believe that is the most important point with threads in general - trying to make sure that anyone searching the site will get the most complete view of thoughts, views, answers, etc. that have been posted on a topic here.

There are reasons for extra care being asked for when requesting or adding lyrics which are covered in the FAQ.
