Some place I recall a magazine article on making Alaska picks long before there were Alaska picks. Maybe in the AutoHarp Quarterly or a similar magazine. Mother Earth News maybe. They were made of soda bottle or bleach bottle, put on and held in place with Scotch tape. Ring any bells? I've never tried them but I have entertained the notion. I also felt if my nails were long enough to anchor them, why not just use my nails.
