I made it to the Blue Ball at Worral a few years back...also Dungworth once and to the 'Festival of Village Carols' at Grenoside...as MCFat says it is a very moving experience...I would say that the singers all tended to give the carols a bit of the 'male voice choir treatment'... predominently strong, trained male voices...apparently in the past women who dared to join in were called 'pudding burners'!
