Yup - again, another entrancing segment. No, not nearly long enough. I'm just eating this thing up -- and so much of it is because it just brings back a time and place to me. The first one we ever heard Doc Watson! (I'd forgotten there was a time I never heard of him!) Actual footage of this! The young village folkies and coffeehouses, and young Dylan (although I wonder the decisions that influenced their using Peter, Paul and Mary instead of Joan Baez, for instance?) It must have been hard selecting what to use for this program. I'm glad it stuck as much to its guns as it did -- the use of the New Lost City Ramblers, for instance, and Mississippi John Hurt, for instance, maybe the biggest influence on young blues folkies in the early 60's (and on Dave Van Ronk). And where was Dave?

Anyway, just whet the appetite, didn't it? Great show.
