Freedom is a price that others pay for. My father fought on minesweepers in the Pacific during the war and my uncle was captured on the beaches of Dunkirk and spent the war as a POW. I have often said -War it should never happen-but I think I really mean War it should never happen to me -safe in the knowledge that we are protected by our armed forces. Until we knock down the borders and ditch our nationalities and our religions, then we should accept that the freedom to be who we are and to believe in whomsoever we worship, comes at the cost of being protected by others willing to die for those freedoms.
