Advance warning to the residents of above town. Lock up your daughters. Hide your sheep. Get in extra beer. The annual Swinton Hardy Intrepid Trecking Society (SHITS) has arranged it's annual Ingleton bash for the weekend of the the 15/16/17 February 2002.

This has been going on for about 20 years now but we still manage to catch them out! It started off as a 'Stag' do for one of our number and the core SHITS will still be the cultural, civilised, well-mannered elite for the weekend and will be, as usual, resident in an exclusive secret hideaway.

The rest of you rabble are grudgingly invited to try and find us singing, performing and being thoroughly entertaining at a milk bar somewhere in Ingleton on the Friday or Saturday night. Or try to catch us up as we excercise or lean, bronzed bodies on one of the higher fells on Saturday afternoon.

This is NOT a folk festival. We are all tee-totalers and do not believe in the the noisy raucous behavior caused by revelers at those satanic events.
