Mine was a virus affecting the inner ear. It is quite common, and usually clears up in two weeks.
Kat, who diagnosed your problem? Have you got perforated eardrums? Surely if it were possible to displace the tiny bones in the ear, rolling you around wouldn't be a way of diagnosing it!!
