Mine means "scarecrow", probably in a field of "Tatties" (Potatoes). A Bogle is also a ghost. But the name was one of those terms of endearment used by my Scottish mother when either my sister or I came in looking particularly dishevelled after playing outside! It was later adopted by my husband to call myself or either of our 2 kids "Bogues". So now you know! Taatie Bogle
