Hello Alio...if you're the lady I'm thinking of, long time - no see.
I did a stand in residency at the Keys for a while as part of the Tim Bobbin folk group with Denis Clarke and Neil Goulding...fond memories of Buckley's Kitchen.
We're deviating a bit from the point here...I'm not talking specifically about folk clubs...there are quite a few of us still taking a financial gamble on booking "big name " acts to give people a chance of experiencing them in a more intimate atmosphere...we've got the likes of Allcock and Halpin and Martin Carthy lined up for next year at the Open Door...the main point of this thread is the fact that the Manchester area has no local folk radio programme!
I'm waiting to hear from GMR regarding an e-mail query on this matter...anybody else fancy tackling Radio Manchester along the same lines?
