Just want to clarify that I didn't suggest only herbal remedies. Definitely work with your doctor. You may need to try several medications before finding one that does the trick. The first one my doctor tried had some nasty side effects, but I had no problems with either Lopressor or, later, Ziac. Took them for years. Then tried the hawthorn, and with my doctor's cooperation, gave it a shot first in conunction with the Ziac, then by itself. It worked. I still monitor my blood pressure, of course.
