What a very good question - no, there never has been singing in our house, which makes it a darned good time to start.

I know Christian references annoy some Catters, but this does have a legitimate folk-process theme as well: I was chatting to a very well known Christian songwriter the other day, and he said that the disappearance of family singing in the home over the past 50 years or so has adversely affected our children's general education across many subjects. Christmas is a good example - much of the story used to be passed on through song.
