Thread Name: Will there be singing in your house?
Subject: RE: Will there be singing in your house?
I remember when I was a kid growing up in the Midwest, our family always sang carols at Christmas. That was how I first learned to sing harmony (which I much preferred to the melody.) There was always a group of people who got together informally and walked around the neighborhood Christmas Eve, singing Christmas Carols. I really loved it, and hadn't thought much about it until you posted this. I'm singing with a black male chorus in a Japanese church (interesting combination) singins old carols and a black version of the Hallelujah chorus. The service is completely in Japanese, except for us. Done it the last three years. We'll also probably have our friends who are part of our gospel quartet stop over Christmas day, and whenever we're together, there is ALWAYS singing.

Interesting thought, you Mudcatters. Would you be offended if someone walked down your street singing Christmas Carols on Christmas Eve? Or could you just let it ride, for one night?
