In 1969, at a ripe age of 23, Dennis Kucinich was elected to the Cleveland City Coucil and in 1977, Dennis the Menace was elected Clevelend's mayor. He is now a 3rd term U.S. Congressman from the 10th district of Ohio. On July 18th of this year, he offered H.R. 2459, which, if passed, would create a cabinet level post and a Department of Peace. This is not a joke and he now has some 30 plus co-sponsors of the bill.
