It is late at night, here in Australia, and I have just looked into Mudcat before collapsing into bed after a Christmas Carol session at a friend' house ... but I am sure I have heard that verse sung by Ewan McColl himself.

I will try to find it in the light of tomorrow ... It may well have been one of the detached verses on the recording of The Travelling People - I have that on CD now, so it should not be quite as hard to search for it.
