Hey there "lonesome", what a great sounding venue. If I'm the Rick F. you're referring to, then thanks so much. (If I'm not, ooops!) I'll be on tour during that time and on your weekend will be playing the "Heritage River Festival" in Northern Ontario. (also a beautiful area, I'm told) If this is an annual event then count me in for next year. When Sandy Paton said he'd been "looking for this kind of community for years", I couldn't have agreed with him more. Most of the folks I play for (and with) every year, love this kind of music and often the best times for me are the jam sessions and chat before or after a concert. Problem is that you can't take 'em all back to Toronto afterwards, so a lot of time is spent saying "goodbye" and"hope to see you again next year". With the Mudcat, you can visit any time you like...but you don't get to PLAY with 'em.

I'm starting a new tour on March 18th which will take me through Connecticut, Mass., and down to Washington. I'll be looking for any Mudcat sweatshirts along the way. It looks like I'll have a few days just to bum around as well, so Heather will be coming with me, and she'll finally see first hand the exciting, dangerous things a folksinger gets up to! Being a Glasgow gal, she's probably eaten some pretty strange things, so maybe I'll try and find her some Possum Pie!
