Never heard of Elton Box. Is it the old folk song that goes?:
I've got sixpence, jolly, jolly sixpence,
I've got sixpence to last me all my life.
I've got twopence to spend, and twopence to lend,
An twopence to send to my wife, poor wife.
There's an older folk song version, published in 1891, called "The Jolly Shilling"
