Subject: RE: Looking for a song by Thomas Moore
This may be as good a plce as any for a question. Moore's "Nothing in Life Can Sadden Us" commences "[Women] Dear creatures, we can't do without them". By 1828 some other songs were sung to the tune of "Dear creature, we can't do without them". Does anyone have this tune, or know where I can find it?

Many of Moore's early songs were not in his books of 'National Songs', or in the 10 books of 'A Selection of Irish Melodies', and we may never have a complete listing of all of his songs. That old edition of Moore's Works that I have has a section at the end of about a dozen songs that it says were not in the 'London edition', but it still does not have all of them. Moore's songs in the Irish tune index on my website are listed from early reissues of the original seperate books, except for the 9th and 10th books, which I could not find. One or two of the original issues also gave some tunes, without songs.
