Thread Name: Bloody Sunday - Bloody Disgrace?
Subject: RE: Bloody Sunday - Bloody Disgrace?
There was a 14th man died later. But that's just the tip of the iceberg, because Bloody Sunday really turned the troubles into what they became, it fuelled the war for 30 years.

If there'd been an honest judge instead of Widgery, who'd come up with a just and fair report soon afterwards, how many lives would have been saved over the years?

And it's not just ancient history, because there are people in places like ...... doing it all over again. But I don't want this thread turning into a battle about other things, so I took the name out there. But don't anyone pretend the British is the only army where murder is done by people in uniform, and the people and the politicians back home turn their eyes away and cover it all in whitewash.

Here is a song about it
