Thank you, McGrath, for posting the thread. I've been looking for that Seamus Heaney poem. I've been doing a lot of research on Bloody Sunday, because I'm working with a group that's planning a memorial service. I've been reading witness statements, and the more I read, the more I realize that these were folks just like me. They were not soldiers, they were not the IRA. They were regular folks that just wanted a fair deal. They started the day full of enthusiasm and ended up carrying away their dead friends.
