Hmmm. What an odd eruption in the middle of the thread. The question doesn't seem to have merited an X-rated response. I had the catalog, saw that offending member--the guy was modeling boxer shorts, and wasn't brief enough to avoid detection. I remember that Sears tried to say that it was a spot of ink on the print. Ha!

There have been quite a few instances when disgruntled employees will let things like this apparent accident go to print, or will place them there personally. One must assume that unless the model was also the photographer and layout person and proofreader, that it got past a number of people, intentionally or no. It was funny, and mostly, to quote Johnny Carson, just revealed the guy's shortcomings.
