Just a note to thank Suffet for organizing the Friday night dinner in Queens at the Indian restaurant, and the singing and tunes at your house afterwards, and to Liam's Brother for the historical walking tour through your Chelsea neighborhood and the Bowery, and to taking me up to White Plains for the pub session with Brian Conway and friends. A rarity - a session in a pub where patrons are actually listening and quieting down for singers. Those were fine times, and a warm welcome to your corners of NYC. I really appreciate it. It was a great week altogether. Walking Manhattan's neighborhoods by day, seeing South Street Seaport and other museums, and at night going to Irish sessions with friends and to the chantey sing at the Seamen's Church Institute Saturday night. Saw ground zero, with it's moving tributes to lost family members and co-workers posted nearby. New York has an incredible spirit and intensity that no act of terrorism can quell. It's tremendous.

Best,
