I am looking for information (lyrics, provenance, etc.) about a song my mother used to sing to me, of which I remember only a fragment:

There's a light still burning in the window, Of the lonely house upon the hill, There's a light still burning in the window, And I think there always will [??]

It may be a WWII-vintage song or perhaps, traditional, and I have not found a reference to it in available Internet databases. Can anyone help?
