I remember hearing a piece for bombarde and church organ, recoreded at a Celtic festival (in Killarney?) many years ago. I reckon the bombarde won in a conter!

p.s. Conicidentally, I met a French guy last year who, having played piano and organ for many years, was now taking up the bombarde. The fact that HE wore earplugs when he played it, did not inspire confidence!
