I KNOW it's a weapon ha ha designed to drive off all other instruments!!! It's revenge for years of subtle flute playing. Actually in all seriousness I play an oboe and so reckoned a bombarde would be a good progression. The really mean thing is that ultimately I'm not looking for one but two as another member of the band thinks bombarde duets would sound good for the branles and bourees we play. Trouble is we don't want to play in Bb and I just wondered if you could get hold of the animals in D at a sensible price in case this experiment into French haute culture doesn't work
