Hi, John; it's spelt "biniou" and are either large (braz) or small (koz). The small ones are nearly as horrible as bombardes. . . ! Hi, Dicho; yes, unfortunately the bombarde has been recorded (many Breton bands use them), but I don't have a clue how they managed to do it without ruining good sound equipment
