I never got on with the D'Addario brown G - it doesn't seem to have quite the right tone. ATM I'm trying a set of normal D'Addarios (the higher-tension ones) but I may revert back to my Augustines - the D'Addarios have a nice rounded sound, but seem to be lacking the "snap" that new Augustines have. At least on my guitar, anyway.
