I thought it was Bristol when I first heard it, but according to the Yetties, the song could well refer to Manchester.

Pomona Docks are at the end of the Manchester Ship Canal (opened in the 1890s), and Albert Square is in Manchester city centre. This would make it just over 100 years old at the most.

Incidentally, the Yetties have "She was a charming rover" instead of "Her hair/face was covered over" in Verse 1 and chorus, but retain "Her face was covered over" in Verse 2.
