gnu - you had to mention ManU (Leeds fan here!), but they beat Nantes 5-1 and look set to qualify for the quarter-finals of the European Champions league. They're at the top of the Premiership (again), and Liverpool are 4th. Liverpool are finding it harder in Europe, although they drew away with Galatasary (Turkey) this week. All the notable soccer teams have excellent websites where you can keep up to date with what's happening in the various competitions.

I would have thought with the proliferation of cable channels you could get to see at least recorded soccer matches in North America - we get recordings of Italian, Dutch and Argentinian matches on terrestrial television, as well as live and recorded domestic and European matches.
