Not to be tedious but there's another superb S.S. Stewart Thoroughbred listed on E-Bay today, currently at $750. I've never seen one with such ornate carving on the neck, carving even under the peghead. It was made in the early 1890's (according to its serial number), has a 12-inch head, and appears to be in remarkable condition after spending decades in someone's attic. I'm amazed that such quality instruments are still turning up. This one should go for more than $1500, assuming its neck is still straight.
