G'day all who have just noticed this tendency,I seem to remember singing a song: Royalty, Royalty Shock, set by local Sydney songwriter John Dengate to the old English tune Poverty, Poverty Knock.
This included, inter alia the verse:
Phillip faux pass every week,
You wouldn't describe him as meek.
He's Edinburgh's Duke ... bu that must be a fluke,
For, as far as I know, he's a Greek!
Not dead accurate (his old passport was Danish ... and he's a Sax Coburg Gotha!) but good fun in its time.
