Our American friends might like to know that one of the politest terms for the Duke of Edinburgh here in England is simply 'Phil the Greek'.

According to a report recently, his indiscretions go back right to the early days of being the queen's consort - it was reported that after a few weeks of marriage, he actually told his aides, in the hearing of reporters, that the Queen was 'insatiable'.

Queen Elizabeth the First would have had his head off for that... if you'll pardon the expression.
