Side note: I don't understand the up toilet, down toilet controversy. Why do we women buy the fuzzy lid covers if we don't want it closed so the covers can be seen? The issue is NOT should men put down the seat, post-pee, it is that both sexes should close the whole thing down. It's not hard to train oneself and it looks purty.
