I don't think it was valuable so much as a reminder of the horror, as it was a humanizing of the firefighters who were involved in the event. You came to know and identify with these guys as human beings caught in incredible circumstances. It brought home the camaraderie, loyalty and humor of these men who have been placed on pedestals as "heroes". Heroes they are, but of the type that lives next door.
